DTV Community Golf Day: A Hole-in-One Success

The recent DTV Community Golf Day, held in the picturesque surroundings of Blackburn, was a resounding triumph. Organized by the ever-entertaining Doddy, the event brought together golfers from across the UK to enjoy a day of friendly competition, camaraderie, and plenty of laughs.

With a field of around 30 participants, the day was filled with memorable moments. From the sublime chip-in by Katie to the hilarious antics of Doddy and his trusty caddy, Wellsy, there was no shortage of entertainment. The Stableford format ensured that everyone had a fair chance to compete, and the friendly atmosphere made the event even more enjoyable.

The day was not without its share of mishaps, of course. Doddy narrowly escaped injury when he was run over by a golf cart, and a few participants may have overindulged in the refreshments. However, these minor incidents only added to the overall fun and laughter.

The winners of the day were Sid, who claimed the overall victory, Floydy for the longest drive, Dan Rapley for his birthday, and Higgins for his impressive culinary feats. But the real winners were the participants themselves, who enjoyed a day of relaxation, friendship, and a shared love of golf. The DTV Community Golf Day was a resounding success, and it is hoped that it will become an annual tradition. The event showcased the spirit of community and the power of golf to bring people together. As Doddy himself would say, “It was par for the course.”
